How Many Tons Do You Need?

Enter the length, width, and depth of the area you're covering. Pick your material and the calculator handles the rest — including how many loads it takes. Maximum single load is 17 tons. We select the right equipment for your delivery.

Not sure what depth to use? Most backyard DG or gravel pathways need 2–3 inches. Driveways and parking pads typically need 4–6 inches of base material. Paver base is usually 4 inches. When in doubt, go deeper — you can always order more but you can't undo a thin install.

Heads up on density: Different materials pack differently. ABC and sand are heavier per yard than DG or topsoil. These numbers are a solid starting point — dispatch will confirm actual tonnage when they call.
